Sources
The sources of each version of Acceptable, as an archive: the repository of Acceptable at the tag of that release, without git. It is the archive Firefox Add-ons and Opera are given.
The archive of each version
No version is on the stores yet. The archive of each version is here before that version reaches a store.
Licenses
Acceptable is under the MIT License. The engines it embeds keep their own licenses, listed in NOTICE.txt, which ships inside the extension. The HEIC decoder, libheif with libde265, is under the GNU Lesser General Public License, and the MP3 encoder, LAME, under the GNU Library General Public License. Their texts ship inside the extension too, in its licenses folder.
To put a modified library in the place of the one Acceptable ships, as those licenses allow, a person builds Acceptable from its sources: they are here, one archive for each version. NOTICE.txt says where the sources of each library are, and how to build Acceptable with a modified one.
Building from the archive
It builds with pnpm, not npm: with the Node version of .node-version and the pnpm version package.json names, which corepack enable provides. In the folder the archive unzips to:
pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
pnpm --filter extension run zipThe archive of each browser is then in packages/extension/.output, byte for byte the one of the release. zip:firefox makes the one of Firefox alone. A build loads in a browser as an unpacked extension.
Something missing or wrong in an archive? Say so.
