PNGJPGWebPGIFBMPAVIFSVGHEIC
PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF into one another, and an SVG or a HEIC into each of them.

A site wants a JPG and you have a HEIC. A form takes CSV and you have a spreadsheet.
Converts the file you give a website into a format it accepts, on your device, as you upload it.
It really converts.
Try one of yours.

The files around the site show what Acceptable does: move them, drop them, click them.Your own pictures are converted for real, in this page; nothing is sent.
How it works
Nothing to set up and nowhere to go: you upload as you always do, and the site gets what it asked for.
Pick it for a file field, or drop it on a drop zone, whatever its format.
If the site expects another format, the file is converted on your device before the site reads it.
Undo gives the site the file you gave.

WAV, MP3, M4A, OGG and FLAC into one another. An M4A is written on macOS and Windows, in a browser other than Firefox.
Max. 1 MB
When a site writes the heaviest file it takes, as "Max. file size: 1 MB", and your picture weighs more, Acceptable makes it light enough before the site sees it: at the best quality that fits, as JPG or AVIF where the site takes one, and smaller only when that is not enough.

The demo above converts pictures, in your browser. The other families are converted by Acceptable itself. It reads the heaviest file a site takes in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian, and makes no picture lighter where a site writes none.
Acceptable converts a file up to a size you set: 25 MB until you choose another, and a picture a site asks to be lighter up to 50 MB even under a smaller limit. Acceptable converts, and nothing else: no server-side conversion, no OCR, no editing.
Privacy
Acceptable converts in your browser and collects nothing: no telemetry, no analytics, no account. Open the developer tools while it works and see for yourself. The details are in its privacy policy.
Install
Acceptable is not on the stores yet.
Acceptable is built for Chrome, Edge, Opera and Firefox: one build for the store of each. Brave takes the Chrome build, since it installs its extensions from the Chrome Web Store. Firefox has to be 148 or newer, and Acceptable stays out of its private windows. Once the stores list Acceptable, they are the way to install it, and they keep it up to date.
